→Daily inspection
During daily inspections make sure that you check the condition of the glider’s skid. If the bottom foot is worn, the glider is U/S and skid needs replacing. Please see a picture of new skid for reference.
The skid has been replaced in Sep 2019. Dragging with the skid on the ground should be avoided if possible and use of the tail dolly is preferred. Dragging on tarmac/concrete should be avoided at all. Inspection of the condition of the skid should be done as frequently as possible to monitor the wornwear.
