This task is an out and return. Do the task when winds are from the south-east so you are blown back towards the airfield.
Head south-east. The manor house of Wimpole Hall will be visible, with the long straight garden running north-south with a circle in the middle and a large house at the northern end. Further east is a quarry. Aim to pass between the quarry and Wimpole Hall. South of the quarry is the village of Barrington, over which Foxton and the turn point should be visible to the south-east.
There are no other railway lines before reaching Foxton. If you cross the railway you will be close to the Duxford ATZ. Avoid going south of Foxton – airspace drops to 4,200 QFE there.
Note that the minimum height at FOX is above the minimum set off height, therefore you must gain height during your flight.
On the way back, head north-west between Wimpole Hall and the quarry. Wimpole Hall's garden points north to Bourn Airfield. Gransden Lodge is halfway between Bourn and Wimpole Hall and slightly to the west. Remember Bourn's main runway points towards Gransden.
